Mrs. Frascella’s Terrific 3”s……………
Happy 2010! Wow, I can not believe we are half way through our school year! Time certaintly does fly when you are
having so much fun. We do have a lot of fun in the 3 year old class. We had a wonderful fall and our winter is going
to be even better. We finished our unit in Nutrition with a exciting trip to Shoprite (which was published in the local
newspaper!) and a Thansgiving Feast including food from each of the food groups. We had so much fun preparing for the
Holidays during the month of December. January is a very busy month for our class. Now that we are all used to
our routines we will be working more in larger groups with our projects. I will be introducing the computer to the class and
they will have an opportunity to use the computer during free play. Each child will be permitted to use the computer
for 10 min. Although the computer is a lot of fun, many children would still rather play with the toys and their friends.
The computer time is completely optional for the students.
We will also be going to the
library in the main office. Each child will recieve their own library card and will be permitted to borrow one book
per week. Please reinforce that this is borrowed from our school library and must be taken care of so that other children
can borrow it after them.
We will be learning more letters and numbers. We will
be learning about our shapes and our five senses. We will be cutting with scissors and getting our fine motor skills
ready for writing our names. We will be taking a class trip to the dentist office in February. We have so much to
look forward to!
We will also be having parent-teacher conferences. You will be notified of the time we will meet and
we will be discussing your child's progress and development. I have a fantastic group of students and I would like to
thank you all for everything you do to make our school so special and I would especially like to thank you for sharing
your children with me!
As always, please feel free to contact me anytime with any questions or comments.
